Railton Self Contained RV Park
Make Railton the place to stay when you are visiting the North West of Tasmania.
Railton is a small, friendly country town within easy driving distance of the major city of the Region – Devonport and a great place to base yourselves to tour the area for a while at the Free Self Contained RV Park in town.
The motor home Park is located in The Esplanade, just off Foster Street which is the main road through town. The Esplande is the road opposite the Railton Hotel and the entrance to the park is located at the end of Railway Park.
The Park is open to Self Contained Recreational Vehicles all year around free of charge, with a maximum stay of 4 nights – strictly no Camping.
The Park has drinking water available and backs onto Railway Park. There is a walkway through to the park that has picnic tables for your convenience.
Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead please.
No dumping of wastewater is allowed. The closest dump points are located at Latrobe and Sheffield (approx 10 min each direction).
Other Local Information
Toilets and a free undercover BBQ are located at Lions Park – one block away at the main intersection (corner of Foster Street and Kimberly Road)
The BBQ is free and located under the Gazebo. It is available for use 24 hrs/day.
The public toilets are open 8am-8pm during daylight savings and 8am-5pm the rest of the year.
Future Development
RADDAi are currently working with the Kentish Council to extend the motor home park’s size, and incorporate a gazebo with seating, and a recreation area with an outdoor gym.
An Ezy dump point is to be installed and we hope this will be in before Christmas 2010.
